BIO
Originally from Rochester, NY now based in Hollywood, CA he first
hit the stage in 3rd grade. Since then he has been involved in countless
stage productions through the years. He is a classically trained
actor with a BFA in Performance Theatre from Arizona State University
where he performed lead roles in 3 main stage productions, co-wrote
and played supporting lead in Grip The Mic Tight--(the
first ever hip-hop theatre production to hit the main stage at ASU).
He also helped develop ASU’s only film club where he was President
and graduated top of his class Magna Cum Laude.
He has starred in numerous independent films, television and National
commercials, and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and
AFTRA. His credits include, ER, General Hospital, Priest,
513, War Of The Worlds, Elizabethtown and others. He is writer,
producer and actor of the critically acclaimed experimental short
film Soldier directed by award winning director Daniel
J Pico. Soldier was an official selection of 12 domestic festivals
including Palm Springs, Los Angeles, San Diego, Queens and Phoenix
and won numerous festivals along the way. Film Threat Magazine voted
it on of the BEST UNSEEN FILM OF 2006!
He is a filmmaker, painter and nationally recognized performance
poet. David uses his influence as a poet to help influence and mentor
emancipated and underprivileged young adults in both high schools
and half way houses.
He is recently completed prodcution on a feature length documentary
which he produced and directed called “Outspoken– Los Angeles”,
which focuses on Americans in Los Angeles fighting the American
occupation of Iraq . He also produced and co-starred in Farewell
Darkness (Daniel J Pico - 2008). Farewell Darkness will be
available everywhere on DVD on Nov. 3rd 2009, it also garnered wins
at numerous festivals including Best Feature in Naples Italy
at the DIFF and Best Feature at the Delray Beach Intl.
His original feature length screenplay titled CAR is in
development for production (the screenplay “CAR” was nominated for
the Golden Palm Award at 2006 Beverly Hills International Film
Festival). He recently finished writing his third feature length
script titled Whispers in the Walls with co-writer Daniel
J Pico.
